In 2011 James launched his music capture brand ‘From The Pit’ focussing on video since 2018. The core services are live concert /festival video, music videos and documentary. Currently James is producing the ‘Bird’s Robe: This Is Family’ documentary series filmed around Australia and Europe with 6 episodes released in 2025. Recent work includes Jinjer, DUNK! Festival (Belgium Post Rock),  This Will Destroy You, MONO, Deafheaven, COG, The Butterfly Effect, The Screaming Jets, Jo Quail, Mammal, Bush.
